Founded over 30 years ago, the Band Booster’s Association is an independent organization of parents, alumni parents, and interested community members dedicated to the George West High School music program and its young musicians.

What we do…

Our association provides funding for equipment/uniform purchases, band trips, scholarships, and the senior awards banquet, as well as other numerous events that benefit the band students. We support the Concert Band, Advanced Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band and Jazz Ensembles.

Marching Band…

Without a doubt, it’s a fabulous sight to see the GW Marching Band march into Longhorn Stadium to play at the football games! There are Band Boosters at every game – we are there in the concession stands, there to help transport the larger instruments, provide refreshments, and sell 50/50 raffle tickets. It is a wonderful sense of camaraderie working together with other band and alumni parents. Truly a great community feeling!

Annual Concerts…

Having your child participate in the GW Band Program is a wonderful opportunity for both the student and parent. It’s no surprise that band students are better students in all aspects. Along with a fantastic sense of solidarity, music teaches them discipline and stability.

As a student puts a lot of hard work into their musicianship, it is also important for their parents/guardians to support them by attending their concerts. Your child wants to see you there!
